Station MesPhys

An Among Us-inspired practical session supported by a web application.

My contribution I developed the application. The scenario and protocols were prepared as a team.

Station MesPhys interface and scientific protocols

The project

We organised a session where students performed scientific experiments within an Among Us-inspired game. The application provided instructions and tracked the game’s progress.

Choice of method

We chose a browser-based application so participants could easily join the session. I turned the rules agreed with the team into screens and game actions.

Implementation

I built the player screens and game management panel. The team’s protocols were integrated into the application, with information updated across participants.

What we achieved

The session brought together 34 students around 13 scientific protocols. This project taught me to adapt my development work to a team’s needs and prepare a tool for group use.

Skills practised

Selected learning outcomes from the competency framework practised in this project.

  • BC03

Use a programming language to implement an algorithm

I programmed player actions and screen updates.

  • BC05

Organise a project and its execution

I coordinated application development with session preparation.

  • BC09

Work collaboratively and independently with responsibility for a project

I integrated the protocols and rules prepared with my teammates.
